Bella & Bean Valentine’s Day Party and Book Signing Event at Second Story Playhouse!
Carmel, Ind. – On Saturday, Feb. 14 from 2 p.m. – 4:30 p.m., Simply Sweet Shoppe and Second Story Playhouse will co-host a book signing benefit with children’s author Rebecca Kai Dotlich.
In addition to signing copies of her latest book, “Bella & Bean,” Dotlich along with local Author/Illustrator, Sharon Vargo, will help children attending the event create a special Valentine card. A portion of the proceeds from the book’s purchase price will benefit Best Buddies Indiana. Children will also have the opportunity to decorate their own heart-shaped Valentine’s sugar cookie.
Bella is determined to write a poem. Her best friend Bean is determined to distract her. Bean wants to play! Bella wants quiet. But as Bean’s attempts at coaxing Bella away from her notepad become ever more over the top, Bella finds her poem taking unexpected twists. And when Bean finally wanders off, having given up, Bella finds she’s written a most wonderful poem…and it’s all about Bean.
