While attending a performance of Bye Bye Birdie at Footlight Musicals, I learned that the theatre building itself is in need of many repairs. To answer this call, the Hedback Community Arts Center is conducting a capital campaign to answer those needs.

The theatre is in need of nearly $1 million in repairs to the lobby, roof, stage railing, lighting and wiring systems, not to mention the purchase of the parking lot. The Hedback to the Future campaign gives the community a chance to be part of this unique opportunity.

Right now, it is difficult to scrape enough money together to attend a theatrical performance, let alone contributing to the renovation of a theatre, but for everyone who has enjoyed a performance in that building or experienced their first taste of the theatre at Footlight…I encourage you to pull together change, a dollar or whatever to do what you can. Let's keep this place alive for generations to come.
