Name my friends' babies!

So I know a couple who are expecting twins in the fall, and they’re looking for baby names.

They’ve got a bajillion names for girls, but none for boys.

Last name? Dragoo. Yes, it means “dragon.”

They like the middle name Gray and want something slightly unique, but not like Humpty Kong Dragoo (even though they were throwing around “Kong” for a while).

I’ve suggested a few that have been outright denied. Gideon Gray Dragoo. Kendall Gray Dragoo. Sawyer Gray. Ticonderoga Gray.

OK, fine, so naming your babies after Lost characters and naval ships aren’t the best ideas.

Anyone have anything better?

If you’ve got a last name like “Dragoo” maybe it should be balanced with something a bit more pedestrian, like Irwin or Hubert or Harvey.

I’m naming my first born Senor Chucklenuts.

You really like names with nuts, eh? Like the ‘Johnny Thundernuts’ nickname you graciously gave me.

How about Tucker, Julian or Dustin?

You can’t go wrong with nuts. Did you hear the one about the pirate who walks into a bar with the ship’s steering wheel sticking out of his pants? The bartender says, “Did you know there’s a steering wheel sticking out of your pants?” And the pirate says, “Arrr, and it’s drivin’ me nuts.”

Oh! I just had an even better idea. A boy named Sue. Sue Dragoo!

I am interested in knowing the cosmic connection between Sawyer Gray and Sawyer Brown.

Could you possibly convince your friends to use this occasion to shorten their last name to just “Drago”? That would open up Ivan and Rocky as possible names for the twins.

Bert and Ernie?

Even barring a name change, Ivan Dragoo would still be perfect.

As the gestational carrier of said twins, don’t feel like you have to restrict yourself to Gray as the middle name. I love your ideas! Keep them coming!

Yeah, speaking of….why’d you reject such an amazing suggestion as Ticonderoga?

I think it would be fun to name a child “Umlaut,” just so he could abbreviate his name as Ü.
