Hello all! I wanted to announce the formation of the Indiana Film Journalists Association, a consortium of Hoosier film journalists dedicated to the promotion of quality film.

The founding members of the IFJA include myself, freelance critic/blogger (and former Star film critic) Christopher Lloyd, Lou Harry of IBJ, Ed Johnson-Ott of NUVO, Matt Socey of WFYI’s “Film Soceyology” and Bob Bloom of the Lafayette Journal-Courier.

If you are a Hoosier film journalist reading this and wish to join, contact me at joeshearer@gmail.com and I can start the process. If you are a filmmaker hoping to find promotion of your film, contact me at the same address. If you’re neither, and just want to be a part of our super-rad organization, you’re probably out of luck, but it doesn’t hurt to try, I guess.

More information is forthcoming.
