IFD reported fire coming from most windows and an attached garage in the rear of the one-story home, IFD Capt. Kevin Witt said.
“After an aggressive attack and search for victims, there luckily were no people inside,” Witt said.
The family has insurance and are receiving shelter from their family and friends, he said.
Fire officials estimated the loss at $70,000.
The cause is being investigated, but appeared to start in the rear of the home. One firefighter suffered a slight eye injury after debris fell on him.
