“Different” atmosphere from St. Elmo’s. H&I has a more modern/romantic decor, St. Elmo’s is more classic charm. GREAT food obviously.

My husband and I were being the ultimate Valentines Day cliche’ couple; got massages then went to dinner at a steakhouse. It was SO GOOD though!! Service was great, food was awesome, and our booth was amazing. The quarters are kind of tight in there but there didn’t seem to be a bad seat. I can’t wait to go back for dessert.

i love this place! you still get the great St. Elmo’s shrimp cocktail but in a more spacious, better designed restaurant. the menu offers many items that St. Elmo’s doesn’t and they’ve still got a great full bar. no complaints whatsoever. i got out of there after a shrimp cocktail, full meal and 2 cocktails for under $40. can’t beat it.

Wow, what a place. Love the 1930,40’s decor. Very classy and good for the romantic evening. Total opposite of their sister establishment St. Elmo’s. Not the typical ho hum steakplace menu. Absolutely adore the salads. Good portions, great taste, well worth the money. I shall return.

This is a very interesting place. Being a devoted democrat it is amazing to me that I would like a place which republicans have proven they could actually manage. I even had the opportunity to meet Mr. Brizzi himself to which I must say he is quite the gentleman. The food is awesome especially the salad, the service excellent, and the decor is very good too. The only thing I noticed about the decor which needs attention is the railing in some areas has worn down and needs a stain touch up. The prices are high but if your going to eat at an establishment with the rich and famous you are going to pay for it, right guys. I was told by Mr. Brizzi that he and Payton also were partners on this place so I’m guessing if you want to see “the man” this is going to be your best bet.

I really think this is a great place. I think I might have had the wrong thing and I went on New Years Eve, so it was very busy! But its a great place to eat. The staff is on the ball all the time. And I really can’t wait to go back! The Brownie for Dssrt is AMAZING! And you can also order the famous “St. Elmo’s Shrimp Cocktail” What makes it famous and so good and $15? The Sauce is made fresh every day. Try it if you like shrimp cocktail, it some of the best!

While the side dish of potato pancakes was nothing to write home about, the rest of the dishes I sampled were nice standouts. I started with the Romaine hearts salad (I’ve got a thing for bleu cheese) and then moved into the “Izzy-style” NY Strip, which is rolled in cracked peppercorn and served with an orange brandy butter sauce. It was one of the best preparations I’ve sampled in the city.

The main seating atmosphere was OK, although I would probably prefer sitting in the bar area next time. Service was excellent.

I have been to Harry & Izzy’s three times and it gets better each time I go. My brother and sister-in-law tricked me into trying the shrimp cocktail. If you’ve been there or to St. Elmo’s you know what I’m talking about. Try it if you haven’t!! But the food is great, the atmosphere relaxing, like I said its my second favorite place to go and I live downtown!!!

Wow! This is a locally owned restaurant that gets it. They have positioned themselves to be force in a city of good restaurants. What a great concept. I look forward to the next time I can go. Colts games before and after are a blast. The bar is amazing.

Who's giving Brad's a bad review?? It's the only place to go in Indy. It's cheap and there are usually at least a few hot girls.
