Abbey Coffee House (825 N. Pennsylvania St., Indianapolis, IN)

I agree with most of the above. The old Mass Ave Abbey was better, and that’s not just a sentimental thing. It’s still good, just not as good as it used to be. For some reason they haven’t had the staff loyalty of the old Abbey. People used to work there forever, and now it seems like every time we go in there’s someone new. I think that’s a big part of it.
My wife is a vegetarian, I’m omnivorous and we both enjoy the menu here.

This is one thick, delicious pizza. Out of the way, but worth the drive.

Strange Brew Coffee Shop (4800 W. Smith Valley Road, Greenwood, IN)

Strange Brew is the best coffee house on the south side. Everything you could want in a coffee house and it’s run by some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet.
