Sandwich was pretty good. Fries were okay, but a little underwhelming. Service was mind numbing. Had to repeat many times that I ordered fries and it was to go.

I don’t know what is about this place that I love so much. It’s not really authentic. But the food is fresh and full of flavor. The hot sauce bar is great. The specials are fantastic. I love the insulated styrofoam cups. It’s just all-around good hearty eating.

Zest! Exciting Food Creations (1134 E. 54th St., Indianapolis, IN)12
The biscuits and gravy have an unusual, but delicious, kick and the gravy has an orange tint to it. Service was very good and prices reasonable. I’ll be back!

Had a great dinner last night with the gf. I had the steak which was salty but still amazing with the “intense beef flavor” that our server had promised. She had the veal and pork meatloaf Mitrailette, which was even better than the steak. The frites were as good as others have raved. I chose The Black beer and it was sensational. A little pricey for sure, but totally worth the treat. It’s a bit crowded indoors and we had a fussy youngster one table away, but none of it detracted from the great food and drink.

With or without chicken is perfect. Haven’t had a truly negative experience yet, and that’s after many meals! Only drawback is finding a seat when it’s busy and that it closes at 7 on Sundays.
