The Man Who Flies with Birds Carole Garbuny Vogel

Aircraft bird strikes have been in the news a lot lately. A solution to the bird-strike hazard was discovered by Israeli ornithologist Yossi Leshem by flying with birds to study their migration patterns. Co-author Carole Garbuny Vogel comes to Indianapolis with a stunning visual presentation and the compelling story of this remarkable scientist.

John Castrale, a DNR wildlife biologist, will give a local perspective on this topic, and Gregory K. Silver, an attorney in Indianapolis and D.C., will make the evening’s opening remarks. Greg has been involved with environmental issues for many years. He is also an administrative law judge for the U.S. Justice Department and was a candidate for State Senate and City Council.
